I hate to say it, but if you are looking for a relatively short .com, you probably will have to work backwards from that. Likely anything you think up that's good, will already be taken.

A list of recently expired domains might be a good place to start as there probably will be some better candidates in there. There are a few search engines out there that will allow you to search through expired and expiring domains.

It might also be usefull to think about how you want to visually brand yourself, even if in general terms. The best name might be the one that gives you a great idea for how to do a wordmark, logo, or specific visual presentation around. The name itself could be pretty arbitrary. When it comes to names, memorable is more important than meaningful.
