A) Where is the best place to by an Omega in town?
B) What is a reasonable discount to expect on one?
I know there's the adage, if you can't afford the sticker price on a luxury timepiece you shouldn't be buying one, but being the cheapo I am, I say blow your adage out your bumhole.
The piece I am looking at looks to be in the 7k range.

My very first Swiss watch was Omega and I bought it at Calgary Jewelers. Having said that, if I knew what I know today about watches and watch prices, I would not have done that and bought from a reputable US online distributor. Yes, there is that official Omega warranty thing that the dealer will brag about, but it is not that significant at all. All serious online distributors honour the one-year warranty and after that, you're on your own anyway and will need to find a good watchmaster in town to service your investment.
From my own experience, I would recommend the following dealers:
Jomashop - by far one of the best online dealers by reputation. (

300watches - good selection as well. (

Both companies do ship to Canada and you will have to incur shipping costs and import charges. However; there will be a price saving, so a trip to New York/New Jersey could be very worthwhile.
