These camps do have the downside of sending some of the fanbases rookie expectations through the roof. I wonder if that bothers Burke who seems to want to do the complete opposite? Is that why Treliving is thinking of changing the format?
Lots of questions:
Does the camp help the players?
Even if they say it does, does that mean it helps?
Does the comraderie of future teammates gained, important?
Is the fan excitement good? Good for the franchise, maybe not for the players?

Treliving said he wasn't thinking of radically changing things so I doubt they scratch the whole on ice thing. I think they just tone it down and eliminate the scrimmages to avoid unnecessary injuries for next year. It's the practices more then the scrimmages that helps them develop I would imagine
