I used dry ice for the first time a couple of years ago to bring some food home from Winnipeg in the middle of summer. I bought it Friday afternoon and put it in my parents' freezer. Left in the morning with my food and dry ice in the cooler; passing through 30 degree temps all though Saskatchewan. Got home Saturday night and it was all still intact and my food still frozen solid. I put the dry ice in the kitchen sink and left it overnight. The next morning there was still a lot of it left, so we made some dry ice bombs.
