Looking used, 767, or 777 depending on what size fleet they want. I'd imagine they'd be looking moreso at the smaller widebodies 767 or A330.

Then it comes down to purchase price and what they'd prefer. I could see WestJet buying used to start, but ordering new and phasing out the used once they have an entire fleet of new aircraft. Which would eliminate the 787/A350. Also by that logic it would eliminate the 767 as they are no longer in production.

Perhaps the best widebody out there for WestJet is the A330?

Mind you this is mostly be tying and thinking at the same time...
I believe the 767-300ER is still available for production although the last order have recently been delivered. However production continues on military and freighter variants.
