That posting style is kind of odd to me. So you guys go onto a message board for "discussion", but you just lay out the post and don't go back to see what the responses were?
If that was me I'd probably just stop posting on CP. What's the point of posting if you're not going to acknowledge or even check what was said? Kind of defeats the point of a message board, no?
I get that I'm pretty harsh, and others as well. But I think it's deserved. I have all the time in the world for opposing fans who take the time to be involved in discussion and answer to criticism of their points. I also try to keep in perspective that bias is a normal thing, and something almost all of us Flames fans have as well. That's one thing CP'ers could be better about is not jumping down other teams fans throats for minor biases, as we all have them.
What I've got no time for is posters who show a considerable lack of understanding on a topic but also state their opinion in a matter of fact manner. Along with that, my biggest pet peeve in the world is posters who make controversial/incorrect/unthruthful comments and then don't respond to criticism.
Oilstain does both of those things. If a poster isn't here for discussion, and instead just wants to lay out points like they're ghandi and everyone should just take their opinion as gospel, then that's just ridiculous.
