All you have to do to be convinced that Bennett is a ####-stirrer is watch some game footage. He does take some bad penalties, but he has an active stick that creates scoring opportunities, too. He can be lazy defensively at times, which is not unusual for a 17 year old. When he's engaged he creates turnovers all over the ice. One thing is certain though, his offensive skill and creativity has not been oversold. He is a marvel to watch and routinely creates goals out of thin air.
I've also watched quite a bit of Dreisadtl, I was veryhigh on him going into the draft and thought he'd be more likely at #4 than Bennett. He is not a very physical player, but he does use his big body well to protect the puck. He has Kopitar-like ability to maintain puck possession. Many of his goals last season came off a one-timer, and while he has a great shot, those kinds of scoring opportunities in the NHL will be few and far between. He'll need to improve his creativity in the offensive zone to truly succeed. If he doesn't, he'll be easily shutdown by even the weakest of defenders in the NHL. I also don't see him developing a phsyical edge anytime soon.
