Looking to do some tile in my house, but it looks like the top layer of sub floor is an OSB product. The overall subfloor is 32mm thick and 38 x 235 floor joists at 400 centers with spans under 3 meters, so I think the floor is plenty rigid. As best as I know you can not use thinset directly over the OSB. I will either need to remove the OSB and replace it with plywood, or add something like Ditra over the OSB. Anyone have any experience recommendations with that product or something similar?
