I'd guess Treliving negotiated the Engelland deal and Burke negotiated the Byron one.
No proof, but gut feeling. The way Treliving was also salivating over Engelland I think he would have backed a Brinks truck up. Byron's has that feel of a seasoned GM who obviously talked a big game in order for him to accept something that almost seems unfair based on QO rules and comparable players.
Again, no proof but how I would guess it.
