A soft defenseman who can't play defense and doesn't put up numbers, he's not going to generate much interest. At 28, he's getting past that point where some team might look at him because he's decently quick for a 200 pound player and has shown flashes of offensive skills. The problem is he can't utilize those skills under pressure and he's too often under pressure because of the mistakes he makes. Maybe an East team that values mobility will take a look at him but this will be his last NHL contract if he gets one.

He's in a real tough spot. He doesn't figure into a contending team's depth chart. Bubble teams have already signed their hyped FA guys to make the push (see the Washington Caps) and rebuilding teams would rather save a spot for a kid coming up.
I'm really interested to see where he ends up.

I'm not saying he has offers or doesn't. I am not saying he was good or bad. I am saying we don't know what offers he has received so using not being signed by July 4th as the reasoning for him being bad is simply illogical.
