Well, sadly appears there may be more to this.
First hand: I can confirm the grandpa's company, Winter Petroleum Ltd., "went under" three weeks ago after trying to recover from financial troubles over the past year. They were ordered to shut down all their operations and abandon all their wells by July 1 as they owed an unknown amount of money to the government and other petroleum and service companies. Staff were not given any notice of this happening so weren't aware they were basically out of a job without pay or compensation.
Police have been contacted and are aware of this; (now ex) employees, as well as landowners where their operations were stationed are being investigated, among other leads.
Second hand: Independent I can also say the first officers to enter the house immediately called for assistance and investigators (sorry, don't know correct terminology), due to the amount of blood and also damage inside. It is feared the grandpa is in life threatening distress, an his wife and grandson were "wrong place wrong time" although that's just speculation based on the previous paragraph. Basically, someone bled a lot and there was damage to the property.
Another prominent poster is able to confirm the first paragraph if he/she chooses. Mod can confirm the second with me, if they choose.
Let's find that truck. Maybe the above has NOTHING to do with anything. I feel sick to my stomach and hope I got poor info, though paragraph one is first hand.
