I love how our drafting has been so much different than the Oilers.
They've drafted players with high end offensive upside but are seemingly one dimensional.
Calgary now has two centres that can put up points but are both known for their two-way game (I think Bennett will put up more points that Monahan but they both will be an awesome 1-2 punch).
Even Gaudreau with all his offensive prowess prides himself in the defensive zone.
That is the key to becoming an elite team. Yes you need highly skilled offensive players but you just as importantly need guys who play 200 feet (Ie: Chicago, LA).
That's the reason why Burke wanted Beartshi down in the AHL to learn how to play all 3 zones and in a few years I think we will all be really happy he did.
