Pearson was 19 when he had 91 points. Smith is just going into his age 19 season. In his age 18 season he had 42 points.

Pearson was skipped over in two drafts. He wasn't playing in the OHL in his first draft year.

EDIT: Pearson was also picked much higher than Smith when drafted.
