I believe Gaudreau himself could be worth 6 wins, and quite frankly that's 12 points the Flames simply do not need next year.

If Flames management agree with you and believe Gaudreau is worth an extra 6 wins, there is no chance in hell he plays in the AHL. That's probably the difference between a 12th place finish and making the playoffs. Remember, coaches and managers put together teams to win as many games possible.
