Very good news, glad to see him signed again. Couldn't believe some of the responses when it came out that the Flames hadn't qualified him and it looked like he was going to be moving on. People basically saying, "Meh, who cares"

Made me think our management was clueless and that many here obviously don't actually watch the Flames and Byron play because if you did, you would know what he brought every night.

I think we haven't even begun to see what Paul really is. A full season this year and I know many will be forced to change their "meh" opinion on him. Certainly one of my favorite players to watch last season, his tenacious puck pursuit, work ethic, speed, solid two way play and hockey IQ made his small size irrelevant. The guy is hard to play against.

I was seriously disappointed when it seemed like Byron was no longer in the Flames plan. Paul deserved to be signed and I'm glad he will be here to prove himself again.
