Will be interesting to see how some of these invites do. I remember Van Brabant turned some heads at camp last year, and was then signed after his college season ended. Carroll was drafted this past draft, after attending last year's camp.
Zejdl is a very interesting invite. Don't see too many Europeans who aren't drafted get invited and actually make it to a camp. I wonder if this was something to do with Todd Woodcraft?
Interesting note - Bourne was born in South Africa. If Bourne gets signed by Calgary, and manages to score 18 pts, he will overtake Kolzig as South Africa's all-time scoring leader in the NHL. Olaf Kolzig.
Should be one heck of a prospect camp. Really looking to see how Jankowski looks out there, along with Klimchuk, on Group A.
Wonder if they purposefully put Kanzig and Smith on opposite teams. I remember Kanzig and Ferland were getting a bit chippy with one another for a bit last camp. Hopefully they won't end up in blows - would suck to have one suffer an injury and impact the rest of the season.
I don't know about anyone else, but one of the prospects I am most wanting to see is Wolf - is he really capable, or will he just be AHL fodder? Really hoping he skates well and plays well.
Very disappointed Rafikov wasn't able to get his visa. Was really looking forward to seeing how he compares to some of our other physical and chippy d-men like Sieloff.
