I almost feel that signing Hiller is just asset collecting. If he does well, he can be flipped (or Ramo) for some other other asset. Being a short contract, he likely isn't in the long term plans, nor was goaltending an issue for us last season when Ramo was in net.
Anyhow, I like it if that is what it is. I think rebuilding teams should take on reclaimation projects with the thought of buying low and selling high.
