He got heavily sheltered minutes in Pittsburgh, as did the other two. There's only so many sheltered minutes to go around. One of these guys will be playing in over their head

McGrattan is the only one of the 3 who played sheltered minutes. Engelland faced middling competition and actually started more often in the d-zone. Bollig saw tough-ish competition and was 4 times as likely to be deployed in the d-zone as the offensive zone. Quenneville placed some serious trust in his ability as a hockey player, which is a great sign in my mind.
