If Gaudreau makes the Flames' roster out of training camp, it won't surprise me to see him have a drought like that in March or thereabouts. In fact, I'd be surprised if he didn't falter down the stretch, as a first-year pro who has never played an 82-game schedule before.
But you're right, it certainly won't be because Gaudreau lacks fire in his belly. It will be because he lacks gas in his tank.
