Carr was only signed on an ATO (Amateur Try-Out) which expired when the season ended. He played for UMass-Lowell.
It's probably not out of the question that he would get an AHL Flames camp invite and perhaps offered a SPC (Standard Players Contract) which is just an AHL level contract.
