Bringing you your daily Suarez update.

Been offered a spot in the Kosovan Football League. Good PR move by them.

Quote:
Luis Suárez has been offered a short-term sanctuary in Kosovan football while he serves his four-month ban from all football. Hajvalia, who won last season’s Kosovar Cup and finished sixth in the league, have made an opportunistic offer to take the striker on loan.
With Kosovo not yet recognised as a full Fifa member, the club believe Suarez’s ban would not extend to the country’s league - although financial considerations would still need to be overcome for the ambitious deal to become a reality.
The club’s director, Xhavit Pocolli, told the Kosovan daily Sport Plus: “Suárez can’t play in the next four months. As we are not part of Fifa yet, I think he can play in Kosovo, so we have an offer that we will send to Liverpool.

Suarez apologizes. A step in the right direction. Next up Evra.

Quote:
The Uruguay striker says in a statement posted on Twitter on Monday that "I deeply regret what occurred," and that "the truth is that my colleague Giorgio Chiellini suffered the physical result of a bite in the collision he suffered with me." Suarez was banned from all football for four months after the incident, which occurred during Uruguay's 1-0 win over Italy in their group-stage game in Brazil. He had denied wrongdoing in a statement to FIFA, saying he simply collided with Chiellini's shoulder.
Suarez apologized to Chiellini and "the entire football family," and said "I vow to the public that there will never again be another incident like (this)."

And the Uruguayan president takes a diplomatic stance on the issue.
Quote:
Uruguay's President Jose Mujica has called football's world governing body Fifa "a bunch of old sons of bitches" over Luis Suarez's four-month ban. The 79-year-old described the punishment, which also included a suspension for nine international matches, as a "fascist ban".
