I've seen cyclists ride on the line separating two lanes when traffic is stopped to get to the front of the light. In one case, the cyclist stops right in front of me then gets upset and tries to block me as I was trying to make a right hand turn, though I was there first with my signal on waiting for a gap in traffic.
I'm fine with them sharing the road with vehicles, but they should be treated like any other vehicle and not only when it benefits them.
If I'm not going to pass you on the same lane you occupy, don't be passing me when I'm stopped at a red light.
I'm not saying all cyclists are like that, but the ones that get shat on absolutely deserve it.

of course there are dumbies on cycles just like there are psycho drivers. If the city was planned more logically this wouldn't be an issue though. I agree that cyclists shouldn't be weaving in and out of traffic at their convenience but in my experience that's the minority. I generally see cyclists too afraid to go near busy roads due to the lack of distinction between bike paths and normal roads. This is the best and most logical way for a city that's going to be around for a few hundred years (atleast). Completely separate lanes then the problem you speak of is solved. (add in more traffic circles and boom, traffic is drastically reduced everywhere)
