I'll be glad when all this is over tomorrow and we digest and analyse what we've done, good or bad. I just hope, regardless of what we do, people keep calm, patient and wait and see if the move we make turns out well in the long term. For me, there is no worst case scenario. Even if we move down, get an asset and take Ritchie, or trade a player and get #2 or #1 or stay where we are with #4, we will get a top quality player that fills a need.
It might be a big heavy centre, which would give us a solid forward spine for the next 10 years. It might be a smart playmaker, again something which we really could do with. Or it could be a potential top 2 D-man with an imposing physique. Or it could be a power winger with a potentially ridiculous upside. I'll take any of them.
