I won't try to argue that none of the top 4 this year would have cracked the top 6 last year.
However, I
would prefer Monahan to Reinhart. Yes, Reinhart has more skill and offensive ability as his point totals demonstrate. But when you factor in Monahan's size, poise, desire to learn, and 200 ft game, I prefer Monahan.
The draft isn't about who is the best player, it is about
who will become the best NHLer. For me, that's Monahan (and it isn't using hindsight, I was big on him last year)
