I'm no fan of Howse's, however I have a friend whose also a friend of his on Facebook and you would always see him posting pictures of himself playing hockey or in a Flames jersey or making comments about hockey posts so it was pretty obvious he had some love for the game and pride of being a hockey player.
Hopefully he sees this as a second chance and puts more focus into his training and nutrition as that seem to be what ended his first go around. As well as whatever other off the ice issues he may have had that led to the contract termination. I doubt we will see him in the NHL, but he is still fairly young (almost 23) and could see making himself a respectable career either in the AHL here or perhaps overseas in a European League (German/Czech/Swedish) like alot of the other tweener type players. It's not the big money, but from what I hear from guys who have been over there to extend their career just that little bit further they are treated well and almost get a paid European vacation where they get to play hockey. It's not a shabby deal.
