Youtube is rather interesting now that people are able to make a living doing it. $4M for pewdiepie is more than I expected -- I had heard before it was roughly $1000 per 1 million views, but I suspect he's getting more because of his tremendous draw.
Ad revenues are quite surprising. I've seen small ad-supported iOS apps pull in $5-6k per month with the right settings. I'm not sure how sustainable that sort of thing is, though.
