Japan only survives with a loss if Ivory Coast beats Colombia. Likewise, Greece needs to Columbia to beat Ivory Coast to survive a loss today. To survive with a draw, Japan needs Ivory Coast to win or draw. Greece needs Colombia to win or draw.

Colombia qualifies with a win if Greece wins or draws. Ivory Coast qualifies with a win if Japan wins or draws.

Similarly, England and Uruguay need Italy and Costa Rica, respectively, to run the table if they are to survive a loss today. They can't be eliminated today, but the loser could be eliminated tomorrow.
