Canucks are paying a lot of money for players, coaches, GM's not to work for them so you know they took this decision very seriously and decided he was so bad that it was worth it to add his salary to the list. That has to tell you something with even new management coming in that could have given him another shot that it's pretty obvious he doesn't have a lot to offer anymore. He may resurface somewhere but he will have to play a lot better to continue his career in the NHL.
