I really wish the playoffs counted here (and for all awards really).

Coaches who don't get their teams into the playoffs never seem to get consideration, yet for some reason you can't count the actual playoffs themselves. Why not? The playoffs are where great coaches and players separate themselves, yet there's only one individual award that takes in to consideration, and coaches who do well in the playoffs have no way of being recognized.
