If you think you could get by with a forward, 15% of a goalie, defenseman, coach and GM, then yes.
This is still pretty stupid on the part of the Canucks. Booth had one more year left on his deal, they should have just rode it out. He's still a useful if overpaid 3rd liner, drives possession pretty well.
EDIT: I mean, let's assume the Canucks are again not a playoff team. If Booth plays moderately well, no worse than he has so far, and the Canucks retained half his salary, he might be worth a 3rd-4th rounder to someone at the deadline.
