Now that I think about it, in between HBO, fans, his publisher, the man must be under enormous pressure to get that book done.

The biggest problem with Brienne's story is that the whole time while she was looking for Sansa, the reader knew that she was nowhere close and was never going to find her. It made her whole storyline seem pointless and a chore to get through. At least with what they have done in the TV series, it brought some actual suspense to her arc. Probably one of the few areas where the show did it better than the book (for me at least).
