Just got back from doing the 8.4k on the new runway. I'm by no means up to speed with the aviation stuff, but the northern most tip of the runway (probably about 1km) is definitely sloped up a bit from the rest of it.
Wasn't really obvious until you were standing at that end, but when you looked down you definitely noticed the sloping.
Other than that that it was a cool thing to do, great views of DT from there, and I finally had a chance to meet Mayor Nenshi as well. The wife and I also spoke with a reporter from the Calgary Sun, so it's possible my next media quote won't be listed as a 'local chat-board' comment.
