Point in case you dent or apply the littlest amount of heat the annealing from it is removed. Then its not much stronger than a couple of beer cans stacked on top of each other.

You do realize that virtually every mid-range commuter is made from aluminum now, and many manufacturers offer lifetime frame warranties... right? The lengths you would have to go to to trash a high quality aluminum frame, would typically write the bike off anyway. I weigh 230, and I don't ride gentle.
Also I meant 6066 aluminum not 6061. It is what made Devinci's aluminum frames so coveted. There is a massive strength difference between the two.
