For a guy with as many health problems as I have I'm a cyclist. Yes I know all about Tesla motors no need to read it. My buddy is a engineer there. They battery I'm using is based of a similar design and the same Panasonic "A" 18650 cells they use. I'm being defensive because I have good reason to have the assist based on my needs. And your a car guy and a road biker that sees a threat to his job and his hobby. Also I'm not traveling in an urban setting I'm ttavillimg on a flat 8 foot wide trail. The lochsidebtrail from Victoria to Sidney.

LOL wut?
The second Calgary has a Tesla dealer, I am ordering one. I absolutely embrace the idea of electric cars. I'll be the first guy dropping off a job application. My post from the Tesla thread, I see it as a great threat, one the world needs:

This move, could very well could be one of the big game changers on the automotive playing field. As a guy that works in this business, the wide scale adoption of electric cars cannot come soon enough.
I guess not all billionaires want to sit in their floating lair, watching the world burn.

Secondly, you are not the only guy suffering pain. I have had both knees shot with cortisone in the last 2 months just so I could straighten my legs in the morning, post from this very thread:

I empathize with your health problems as well, as I am just learning to cope with mine. But every single assumption you are making is wrong. Just because I don't like your bike, doesn't mean I am stupid. I have been cycling for 35 years, on high end, and low end. I have been in incredible condition, and my current fatass, busted up, wrecked knees condition, and I can tell you, you are not pedalling that at an average speed of 40 KPH only using the electric for hill assist. Especially if you have such serious health problems. Pro triathletes hover around the 42-45 KPH range on ridiculous aerodynamic bikes.
