One thing I wished I asked at the STH was the compliance buyout question.

This is the last year, from the CBA 2 years ago, that teams can enact this in 2 days from now. Flames still have their 2 buyouts.

Any Flames on the bubble for that buyout? Wideman?

Or do the Flames get creative and trade for a guy from another team that they plan to buyout? The reward for the owners basically eating that player's salary, is the other players or picks that would come along with that for "free".

With the increased cap, that's less likely than last year, and it didn't happen in the league last year.
