Ottawa is a great city. It's got culture, natural beauty, beaches, parks, nice architecture, nice pubs and clubs, lots of winter activities. It's big enough that it attracts major events (Ottawa Bluesfest is ranked in billboards top ten music festivals). It's also geographically located in a good area as you can easily take short road trips or really short flights to many interesting places.

Halifax is great too.
