Not according to his Aunt's testimony. Ferland already had a shiner starting so someone must have hit him. Going off tidbits in the paper and the context that the reporter is giving them can effect the way you look at it. If, and we don't know, the other guy who crossed the street to get involved, pushed/punched/grabbed Ferland then he is in his right to pop the guy. And the guy setting himself up to sue Ferland didn't do anything until another buddy looked him up online and said that was the guy, pretty fishy to me.
