Burke has inprovedthenin ice product by firing the circus show that used to run the flames. Feaster/Weisbroad turned this team into a laughing stock and everyone from the media to other fanbases would laugh when Feaster said or did anything.
Burke did not trade Cammy for a 3rd rounder. Who cares the slight chance the flames hit on that pick is not worth maintains the reputation that the Flames will get fleeced on deals. This reputation started when Burke fleeced Sutter back in 2010 and Feaster carried that tradition along until he was fired (Cammy/Smid and smaller deals aside).
Sutter botched the Phanuef and Jokinen deals Feaster followed that by botching the Regehr, Iginla, Bouwmeester, Tanguay deals. Burke did not want to follow suit by offloading Cammy for peanuts and I think it was a smart play.
I think our management team seems stronger than ever and I really like the mix. Excited to see what the flames do this summer
