The storm rainment set for monk seems ok now, but the monkey garb is still useless since it buffs diabos which are worthless. And while the change to Momentum is nice, it doesn't change the fact that the monk is forced to use 3 slots for "must have" passives because not using them completely gimps your character.
I really hope the 2.1 patch does more than just rebalance some skills, the whole class design needs an overhaul. Every other class save the demon hunter is allowed to stack their primary stat since they also get a boost to either armor or resists, but the monk and DH are left with dodge which is almost worthless. You can't dodge ground effects, or arcane sentries, or frozen orbs, or anything else an elite pack will use to kill you, so it leaves us in a distinct disadvantage compared to the other classes
