Hey to be fair . Having the government here does not really help the Quality of life here I'm Victoria. Most of the Politicians don't live here. If they do their in Oak Bay . The wealthy district Municipality. We don't even see their tax money. A lot of the Good government jobs are in Vancouver. Just because We are the Capital doesn't mean we aren't displaced by The bigger Vancouver. In Victoria your best bet to get any money in Victorias either work as a low level government lacky or be a student. Anything else In between your not going to make much. You either come here to learn or retire (Usually in Oak bay or Sidney) What helps with us having a good quality of life here is not the government jobs they don't really help us as much as you think. Its the people who live here. Living on a island makes you appreciate people over industry. The register voters here make rational decisions without doller signs in their eyes that helps a lot. I lived in Kamloops for 10 years. Its the difference in They way each part of the country is split along political and Industrial lines. As well as rack City's priorities are. Bottem line is it is completely subjective to each person.
I would think Victoria Is a their higher than any Saskatchewan city. I'm not basing it on population mind you but on the landscape. Mountains right next to the ocean beats the praries. I have been throught Saskatchewan it is Very nice. Its not a personal attack on them but just my opinion.
