You also spend the rest of your life in a 8x10 cell. You share accommodations with hundreds of other psychopaths that could shank you, or rape you, at any given moment. You don't get a fork or knife to eat your substandard meals. You don't get belts or shoelaces.
Prison life isn't all sunshine and rainbows. You get beaten. You get harassed. You don't live, you simply exist.
