I just think drafting a dman at #1 is a poor move when there are some great forwards available. The last 5 D drafted first overall:
EJ
Chris Phillips
Brian Berard
Ed Jovonovski
Roman Hamrlick
All decent NHL careers but no #1 guy there. EJ was uber hyped aqnd was suppoed to be the next big thing but he hasn't stepped up as a #1 guy yet. Even guys like Hedman who were top picks are just starting to come around but even he didn't go #1.
I just think you can get D mid to late 1st who will end up being just as good or better than Ekblad.
Stay at 4 and take one of the "big 3" forwards or draft up and take the F you really like.
