That's not true. Lots of people have gone after those people. Cindy Sheehan got crucified. Bill O'Reilly busted a nut going after the son of a 9/11 victim.
The best part of the whole thing was Leno said the word "attract" and Ann wittily retorted "if I wanted to attract people, I'd wear a sexy dress and grow my hair long" (she was wearing a "sexy" dress and has long hair). Then she gave her sauciest grimace and flipped her straw hair.
No offense Ann, but the "praying mantis in an ill-fitting cocktail dress" impression isn't exactly "the look" for 2006. Get rid of the Adam's Apple, grow some arms that might have a chance against Mary-Kate Olsen in an arm-wrestle and then you might have a hope with that "sexy" image you are trying to put out there.
What a disgusting person. If I cared about such things I'd also be offended by the cross she was wearing.

The point was that the dems use victims to make their points for them so the points can't be attacked.
Like I said, her method renders the point lost.
You ought to change your paraphrase of what she said to Carlin because it wasn't as insulting to liberals as your paraphrasing would have people believe.
What she actually said was that she had her one liberal friend review her book before it was published (my guess is Bill Maher) and she told him that he was smarter than any liberal she would be debating on TV with....and then she leaned over and said "That was before I knew I was going to be on with you." to Carlin. So it was actually a compliment to him and her liberal friend.
