This is really a cool innovated idea, which on the surface appears to be economical for the tax payers.
Born and raised in yyc, went to school in Edmonton, back in yyc now.
I remember going up to Edmonton and learning of the hate they had for Calgary - I always thought it was so funny because Calgaryians didn't give a rat @ss about what was going on up there, yet they cared so dam much about us via their hate. This thread has made me realize were pretty much all the same now.
Calgary is my home, and I will always prefer it to any city. It's hard for anything to be underrated, but Edmonton is.
