Yeah, the fact that the Jays wouldn't bring back Jose after all those home runs angered Clemens and was why he wanted a trade. He felt the club wasn't committed to winning. Than the next year Green, Delgado, Bautista all hit a large number of homeruns that more than replaced Canseco. Problem was they had bad pitching and really could have used Clemens who had pitched outstanding the previous two years.
Aaah the past. Henke was a big nerd, but had that good fork ball. I remember checking out one of those old baseball almanac sites and seeing that he made $55,000 in 1985. Talk about a bargain!
