He shot and killed 3 RCMP officer's already. Unless he throws down his guns and walks up with his hands in the air. They already have just cause to use reasonable force.
I'd prefer to see him arrested and tried. I wouldn't be surprised if he was found to be mentally incompetent. If that's the case, the rest of his life in a mental facility is a sentence worse than death.
