Glad to say, it took almost a decade, but I realized how messed up the interaction was with them and I no longer hang out with them and am far happier with the change. Met my girlfriend defying their advice on girls too.
She's my best buddy and I cold approached her to start a conversation.

Yep. Envy them too. But sometimes, let's just say some girls are just crazy. Even if you can get away with it, you might not want to.
