Getting Sherlocked can be a great thing. It sometimes forces companies to pivot and cover things that Apple lags on. Something like 1Password was in danger of being Sherlocked last year, but they released enough extra features that they're hard to ignore.
This years big target in my eyes is Alfred (on of my favourite apps). The spotlight update will really give it a run for its money, but Alfred does quite a bit more at the moment, and with their workflow recipes in the community it's growing like Quicksilver did back in the day (except with an actual business model).
