This was my first full marathon, and I was very happy with my result. I feel fine today, but I am taking stairs a little more slowly.
Does anyone recall that commercial where a father was consoling his son after he was cut from a school sports team, and mention that he too was cut at the same age, only to discover the school running club, just as some girls crossed in front of their car, instantly cheering up the young lad? I remembered this as I was running, and I must say that I really appreciated the outstanding scenery provided by more than a few of my fellow female runners.
