I feel like this could maybe hurt him and help him. It doesn't look too good that he can't do one pull up, shows that he currently doesn't have great upper body strength, and potentially (and this is a reach) he may have personality issues. He has known about the combine and probably has known about the tests. This is reason enough to believe he maybe should have trained for these tests, and if he did train maybe he should have trained harder.

On the other hand, he has been successful in his junior hockey career so far and is regarded as one of the top choices for this draft. He demonstrates skill along with a good work effort on the ice, and he's tough to play against (from what I have heard/seen). He can improve his strength with a very intensive offseason workout schedule and he will have to do this if he expects to play in the NHL next year. If he puts on some muscle and more speed, he could become what we all expect him to be. In summary, he didn't play super well in juniors because he was physically more mature or physically dominant(as some may say for Ekblad), he played well because he is a skilled hockey player. His "lack" of strength also didn't prevent him from battling with bigger hockey players

I wouldn't be too worried about it. If I was a GM I wouldn't change my opinions on Sam Bennett.
